Masked Suspects Pry Open Registers During Late-Night Robbery at Macon Convenience Store

MACON, Ga. — Authorities are investigating a late-night commercial robbery at a convenience store in Macon after two masked suspects forced open self-checkout registers and stole cash before fleeing on foot.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the robbery occurred at approximately 11:51 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the Circle K convenience store.

Investigators said two masked men entered the business carrying tools and approached the self-checkout registers. Authorities said the suspects beat and pried open the cash boxes before removing money from inside.

After taking the cash, both suspects fled the store on foot westbound across Pio Nono Avenue, according to investigators.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

The first suspect was described as a slim Black male approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall wearing a mask, multicolored shoes, acid-wash dark jeans, and a black jacket featuring lightning bolt designs and writing on the back reading “Time + Space.”

The second suspect was described as a medium-build Black male approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall wearing gray sweatpants, a green hoodie, and a mask.

The sheriff’s office said the Criminal Investigation Division is actively investigating the robbery.

Authorities also released surveillance images of the suspects captured by the store’s security cameras.
