Woman Critically Injured in Macon Shooting, Deputies Investigating

MACON, Ga. — Authorities are investigating a late-night shooting that left a woman in critical condition Sunday.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just before 11:00 p.m. April 26, 2026, to the 1800 block of Crestview Drive after reports of a person shot.

When deputies arrived, they found a 24-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported her to a local hospital, where medical staff reported she is in critical condition.

Investigators said the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and no additional details have been released.
