Teen Homicide Suspect Arrested in Connection to 2025 Atlanta Shooting
ATLANTA, Ga. — A homicide suspect has been arrested months after a deadly shooting in northwest Atlanta, according to police.
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, officers with the Atlanta Police Department, working with the Fugitive Unit, Intelligence Unit, and Gang Unit, took 19-year-old Jontavious Clark into custody at a residence in the 700 block of Deckner Avenue SW.
Clark is charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was transported to the Fulton County Jail without incident.
The arrest is tied to a November 25, 2025 shooting in the 300 block of Oliver Street NW. Officers responded around 8:48 p.m. to reports of a person shot and found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators with the Homicide Unit launched an investigation that ultimately led to Clark’s arrest.
Police said Clark has prior criminal history including offenses such as criminal damage to property, entering auto, theft-related charges, and prior firearm possession.
The investigation remains ongoing.
