Bibb County Deputies Searching for Missing, Endangered 75-Year-Old Macon Man

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 75-year-old man who has not been seen in months.

Investigators say Douglas Wayne Salyer, of Macon, was reported missing on February 2, 2026, after neighbors contacted authorities. They told deputies they had not physically seen Salyer since what they believe was early October 2025.

Further investigation revealed Salyer was last seen by social workers at his home on August 5, 2025. The residence is located at 1271 South Jackson Springs Road.

Officials say Salyer is considered an endangered adult.
