Brookhaven Police Arrest Man Suspected in Series of Armed Robberies Targeting Taxi Drivers

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. – Investigators with the Brookhaven Police Department have arrested a Brookhaven man accused of carrying out a series of armed robberies targeting taxicab drivers within the city.

Police said Aaron Rodriguez-Viveros, 29, was taken into custody on Feb. 4, 2026, following a coordinated investigation and the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 1700 block of Briarwood Road. The warrant was carried out by the department’s Criminal Investigations Unit with assistance from the Advanced Community Enforcement Team. Rodriguez-Viveros was arrested without incident.

Investigators believe Rodriguez-Viveros is responsible for at least three armed robberies reported between Jan. 29 and Feb. 4, 2026, involving taxi drivers in Brookhaven.

Authorities said Gwinnett County Police Department have also identified Rodriguez-Viveros as a suspect in two additional armed robberies in Gwinnett County. Police said he has outstanding warrants in that county related to weapons and other offenses.

Rodriguez-Viveros was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, where he was charged with multiple counts of armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
