Forsyth Woman Arrested in Macon for Multiple Violations, Unrestrained Child in Vehicle

A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office H.E.A.T. Unit deputy arrested a Forsyth woman after a traffic stop revealed multiple violations, including an unrestrained child and a suspended driver’s license.

According to the incident report, Deputy Dalton Palmer was behind a Lexus SUV at a traffic light when the driver suddenly cut across a lane to turn into a gas station, nearly causing a crash. She then drove through the parking lot without stopping and exited onto Pio Nono Avenue, prompting the traffic stop.

Deputy Palmer discovered the woman was not wearing a seatbelt and had a small child riding unrestrained in the front passenger seat. The report also noted that she had no insurance and was driving on a suspended license.

She was taken into custody on several charges. A relative arrived to pick up the child, and the vehicle was secured.

The entire incident occurred while Deputy Palmer was in a marked patrol vehicle directly behind the Lexus.
