Multiple Shootings Reported Across Atlanta Over Weekend

ATLANTA, GA – Atlanta police responded to several shootings across multiple zones of the city between October 24-26, 2025, leaving multiple people injured. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are asking for information from the public.

October 24: At approximately 2:20 a.m., officers responded to 3390 Fairburn Rd SW after reports of a shooting. A male juvenile was found with a gunshot wound to his foot. Preliminary investigation revealed the juvenile had been breaking into a vehicle when the owner, 51-year-old Yoshay Carter, confronted him and fired, striking him in the foot. The juvenile was transported to Arthur M. Blank Children’s Hospital in stable condition. Carter was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

October 25: At 11:52 p.m., Zone 1 officers responded to 547 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. NW after three male victims, ages 17, 18, and 19, were shot while standing outside a residence. All three were transported to a hospital in stable condition.

Later that evening, a 21-year-old female was shot at 2126 Browns Mill Rd. SE, and a 65-year-old male was shot multiple times at 746 Thomasville Blvd. SE after an exchange of gunfire with an unknown armed suspect. Both were transported to local hospitals in stable condition.

October 26: At 1:29 a.m., Zone 4 officers responded to 1193 Oakland Ln. SW after a 33-year-old male and a 26-year-old male were shot following a verbal altercation inside a residence. Both were arrested and charged with aggravated assault. They were identified as 26-year-old Deronte Cook and 33-year-old Hayes Henrico.

At 1:59 a.m., a 36-year-old female arrived at Grady Hospital with a gunshot wound. Preliminary reports indicate the injury may have occurred during a road rage incident near Pulliam St. SW and I-75/85 SB.

At 10:10 p.m., Zone 2 officers responded to 464 Bishop St. NW regarding gunfire. A 33-year-old male later arrived at Piedmont Hospital with a gunshot wound sustained while sitting inside a vehicle in the parking deck.

All victims were reported alert, conscious, and breathing at the time of hospital arrival.
