Bibb County Deputy Arrests Two for DUI at Interstate Crash Scene

MACON, GA – A Bibb County Sheriff’s deputy arrested two drivers for driving under the influence after responding to a crash involving a motorcycle on the I-475 exit ramp.

According to the incident report, Deputy John Kile arrived to find a motorcyclist lying in the roadway with a Kawasaki motorcycle on top of him. The man, who was wanted on a warrant, had apparently lost control of the bike and crashed. Deputies described him as extremely uncooperative at the scene.

After being checked at a local hospital, the motorcyclist was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center and charged with driving under the influence, driving without a valid license, driving while license is suspended or revoked, and battery-family violence related to the outstanding warrant.

A woman who arrived at the scene in a Chrysler minivan to pick up the motorcycle was also taken into custody. Deputies determined she was driving under the influence and charged her with DUI, driving without insurance, and operating with a suspended registration.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene as the investigation continues.
