Killer Captured in Atlanta; Arrested in Connection with Macon Woman’s Death

MACON, GA – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crime Unit, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, has arrested a suspect in connection with the September 11, 2025, death of a woman on Sanford Avenue.

Investigators identified 48-year-old Snapper Orlando Brundage as the suspect in the death of Teasha Ariele Colbert, 42, of Macon. Brundage was apprehended in Atlanta at 1:17 p.m. on the same day of the incident. He was transported back to Macon for questioning and later moved to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, where he is being held without bond. Brundage is charged with murder.

The Incident

Deputies initially responded around 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, to the Sanford Arms Apartments on a report of a missing person. Inside one of the residences, they discovered Colbert unresponsive. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by Coroner Leon Jones.

The arrest followed swift coordination between local investigators and federal partners, ensuring Brundage was taken into custody just hours after the victim was found.

The investigation remains ongoing.
