One Dead, One Injured After Gunfire Erupts at Ringgold Party

UPDATE: Sheriff Sisk says that the suspects in this shooting are currently in custody in Tennessee for the murder of Daysha Lynch. Both are waiting extradition back to Catoosa County. The suspects were identified as 18-year-old Eric James Link and 19-year-old Julian Williamson.

RINGGOLD, GA – The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that broke out late Saturday, September 27, at a residence on Indian Springs Road.
Deputies responded to a noise complaint around 11:00 p.m. and arrived to find a chaotic scene with more than ten people gathered in the yard. As they approached, suspects fleeing on foot fired shots.
According to investigators, the violence began after an argument and physical fight among partygoers escalated. Deputies found two women with gunshot wounds and rendered aid until EMS arrived.
The victims were identified as 24-year-old Daysha Lynch, who later died at the hospital, and 18-year-old Emma Lynch, who remains in stable condition.
Authorities say the suspects were known to some of the party attendees. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 935-2424.
