Burglary Suspect Shot and Killed During Home Invasion in Gwinnett County

Gwinnett County Police are investigating after a burglary suspect was shot and killed during a break-in at a home on Redbark Court.

Detectives say the suspect entered the rear of the residence and was immediately confronted by the occupants inside. Officers surrounded the home with the suspect still inside along with the residents. As officers entered to make an arrest, the suspect was shot by a homeowner.

Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to gather evidence and interview witnesses. The suspect’s identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
