Columbus Police Investigating Fatal Shooting That Claimed Life of 18-Year-Old Woman
Columbus Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred late Friday night, September 5, 2025, in the 1000 block of Bay Avenue. Officers responded to the scene around 11:00 p.m. and discovered 18-year-old Kalielah Davis suffering from a gunshot wound.
Davis was rushed to Piedmont Columbus Regional, but despite life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead at 11:26 p.m. by Deputy Coroner Dustin Harrelson.
The Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the case and continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
