Candler County Grand Jury Indicts Man in 2010 Murder of Statesboro Resident

CANDLER COUNTY, GA — A Candler County Grand Jury has indicted Paul Thomas Reinberg, 48, formerly of Metter, for the 2010 murder of 21-year-old Harrison Wayne Olliff of Statesboro.
On December 10, 2010, the Candler County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation after a body was discovered in a rural area off Jones Road. Deputies had located a vehicle nearby that was later identified as belonging to Olliff, who had been reported missing to the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office on November 25, 2010. His body was later recovered near the vehicle.
GBI agents recently obtained new evidence linking Reinberg to the homicide. After reviewing the case, the GBI and the Middle Georgia Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office presented the matter to a Grand Jury, which returned a true bill of indictment against Reinberg.
Reinberg remains in the custody of the Georgia Department of Corrections on unrelated charges.
