Haralson County Deputies Arrest Man Found with Meth and Firearm at Cemetery

Late Sunday night, Haralson County deputies responded to reports of people arguing and a gunshot at the cemetery on Morman Church Road. When deputies arrived, they located two vehicles and a male identified as Joseph Bradley Green. Deputies believed additional individuals had run into the woods but were unable to locate them.
Green initially told deputies he did not know who was driving the truck at the scene and claimed that his girlfriend owned the SUV but had left. However, the SUV remained on site. When deputies escorted Green to the vehicle, they observed an extended magazine for a 9mm handgun in plain view.
Deputies attempted to detain Green, who resisted and fought with officers. Green, a convicted felon, was subdued and taken into custody. A subsequent search of the SUV uncovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Green was arrested and charged with VGCSA – Possession of Methamphetamine, Obstruction, and Parole Violation. Both vehicles at the cemetery were towed from the scene.
