Macon Burglary Suspect Found Hiding in Shed Full of Stolen Gear

BIBB COUNTY, Ga. — A burglary suspect was arrested Thursday after Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators tracked him to a residence on Houston Road, where he was found hiding in a shed filled with stolen law enforcement equipment.
Members of the Criminal Investigation Division Property Unit, Patrol Division deputies, S.W.A.T. Team members, and the Georgia State Patrol K-9 Unit responded to the scene after learning the suspect, believed to be armed, had barricaded himself inside the shed.
After a brief standoff, the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Inside the shed, investigators discovered stolen law enforcement items, as well as windows and a door reported missing from a new home construction site.
The male suspect was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center, where he was charged with burglary and theft by taking-felony.
The case remains under investigation.
