Third Arrest Made in Murder at Autumn Trace Apartments in Macon

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators made an additional arrest Tuesday afternoon, June 17, 2025, in connection with the death of Marcus Cunningham Jr. The incident occurred on June 5, 2025, at the Autumn Trace Apartments.

Investigators identified Alfonso Jose Hyman, 35, of Macon, as a suspect in Cunningham Jr.’s death. Hyman was taken into custody without incident following the execution of a search and arrest warrant at a Macon residence. He was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center and has been charged with Murder. Hyman is currently being held without bond.

This latest arrest follows the apprehension of Darrell Stanley, 17, also of Macon, on Friday, June 13th, and of a 16-year-old juvenile on June 11th. Stanley was taken into custody after a traffic stop by the Jones County Sheriff’s Office and was also charged with Murder in connection with Cunningham Jr.’s death.
