Suspect Arrested in Norcross Homicide After SWAT Operation at Acworth Hotel

Gwinnett County Police have identified and arrested a suspect in the February 8, 2025, homicide at 1800 Ardsley Place in Norcross.
Officers responded to a shooting just after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital. Inside a nearby apartment, officers discovered a deceased female, identified as 26-year-old Kevnna Robinson of Norcross.
Homicide detectives charged 21-year-old Tyreun Rozario Whitaker of Acworth with Malice Murder, Felony Murder, two counts of Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. Whitaker was located at a hotel in Acworth later that night and taken into custody with assistance from Acworth Police and Cobb County SWAT. He was transported to Gwinnett County Jail.
