Three Arrested in Macon Residential Burglary Involving Stolen Appliances and Missing Dog

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office S.R.T. Unit deputies have arrested three suspects in connection with a residential burglary on Northside Drive.

Deputies were called after a resident returned home to find her rented washer and dryer, television, and dog missing from her apartment.

According to the investigation, the resident’s female neighbor contacted the rental company on Log Cabin Drive after an argument, informing them that she had a key and could retrieve the appliances the tenant owed a late payment on. However, the victim had already received a payment extension from the district manager, and no repossession order had been filed.

Despite the extension, a female rental company employee sent a male employee to meet the neighbor, obtain the key, and remove the washer and dryer using his personal Ford F-150 truck. The report states that the male suspect also let the victim’s dog out, which then ran away.

All three suspects were taken into custody and charged with residential burglary. The neighbor had also been arrested earlier in the month at the same apartment complex on a Houston County warrant.
