GBI Investigates Armed Robbery and Shooting in Homerville, Georgia

At the request of the Homerville Police Department, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is looking into an armed robbery that occurred on Monday, December 23, 2024, at a residence on Robinson Street in Homerville, Clinch County, Georgia.

Preliminary reports indicate that a shooting took place during the robbery, with one man being shot and transported to a hospital in Jacksonville, Florida for treatment. Two other men were assaulted during the incident and were later treated and released from a local hospital. The three victims were part of an out-of-state roofing crew working on storm-damaged homes in the area.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
