Cold Case: Justice Still Sought for Murder of North Georgia Business Owner 16 Years Ago

On December 19, 2024, it marks sixteen years since Michael Mullens, a father and business owner, was tragically shot and killed outside his machine shop in Flintstone, GA.

On the morning of December 19, 2008, Walker County Investigators, along with the GBI, were called to Premier Pattern and Machine on Woodburn Rd. to investigate a homicide. An unknown person or persons ambushed Mr. Mullens as he arrived for work, shooting him in the back of the head.

Despite numerous leads and ongoing efforts by investigators, the perpetrator(s) remain unidentified. The Walker County Sheriff’s Office continues to seek any information that could bring justice to Mr. Mullens and his family.
