Forest Park Police Conduct Underage Alcohol Purchase Operations, 10 Businesses Cited

The Forest Park Police Department recently completed two Underage Alcohol Purchase Operations, aimed at ensuring compliance with alcohol sales laws. The operations, conducted over two separate phases, involved visits to 36 businesses in total.

The first phase of the operation took place in March and focused on 14 businesses. During this phase, six businesses were found to be in violation of underage alcohol sale regulations. The second phase, completed in November, targeted 22 businesses, with four businesses found to be out of compliance.

In response to the violations, each business that failed the compliance check received a citation. Chief Criss and the Forest Park Police Department also commended the 26 businesses that adhered to the legal requirements, ensuring they operated within the established legal parameters for alcohol sales.

The operations are part of an ongoing effort to combat underage drinking and promote public safety in the community.
