Double Fatality in Washington Park Area Under Investigation by Atlanta Police
On December 5, 2024, at approximately 10:18 PM, Atlanta Police officers were called to 1004 Westmoor Dr NW, located in the Washington Park area, after reports of individuals being shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of an adult male and female inside the residence. The male victim appeared to have suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound, while the female had been shot. Both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS personnel. Homicide investigators have been dispatched to the location to determine the events leading up to the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
