Vehicle Fire Threatens Structure in Rossville; No Injuries Reported

On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at approximately 12:50 AM, the Rossville Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire with structure endangerment at 116 Walnut Avenue in Rossville (Northwest Georgia). Upon arrival, Rossville Police Officer 223 reported that the fire had spread to the building adjacent to the vehicle. The vehicle involved was identified as a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV).

Rossville Fire Engine One, Engine Three, and Squad One, along with Walker Engine 7, quickly launched an aggressive fire attack, using two 1 3/4-inch pre-connect lines. The fire was brought under control and fully extinguished by 1:17 AM. While the CMV was a total loss, there was minimal damage to the exterior of the adjacent structure. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
