Man Arrested in Thanksgiving Fatal Shooting of Woman in Savannah

Terrell Akeem Nelson, 31, has been arrested in connection with the November 28 shooting in the 1400 block of Augusta Avenue. He was taken into custody on December 1 and charged with murder, aggravated assault, and parole violation.

The Savannah Police Department is investigating the shooting, which left one adult female deceased. The victim, 34-year-old Cantrelle Ross, was shot multiple times at the daycare facility she owned, Friend Zone Learning.

At around midnight on November 28, officers responded to the scene after a Shotspotter notification. Upon arrival, they found the victim on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services arrived shortly after and pronounced the victim deceased.

The victim was identified as 34-year-old Cantrelle Ross. Cantrelle was shot multiple times at the daycare facility she owned, Friend Zone Learning.
