Two Brothers Arrested in Connection to Aggravated Assault of Fulton County Deputy

On November 7, 2024, 29-year-old Xavier Evans was taken into custody with the assistance of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office FAST Team, and on November 8, 2024, 24-year-old Xavion Evans turned himself in at the Fulton County Jail. Both men face charges in connection with the aggravated assault of a FCSO Detention Deputy that occurred on November 1, 2024, at 775 Joseph E. Boone Boulevard NW.

According to preliminary information, at approximately 11:13 p.m. on November 1, 2024, Atlanta Police Zone 5 officers responded to reports of an injured person at the aforementioned address. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 54-year-old male with visible injuries. The victim, later identified as an off-duty FCSO officer working an extra job at the location, was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Investigators have determined that the altercation between the victim and the suspects began as a verbal dispute before turning physical. Both brothers are now in custody for their involvement in the incident.
