Suspect in Nashville, Georgia, Auto Parts Shooting Surrenders to Authorities
The suspect in an October 14th shooting incident at a Nashville auto parts store, identified as Bobby Jermaine Harris, surrendered to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office on October 23, 2024. Harris faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and reckless conduct.
On October 14, around 6:40 p.m., Nashville Police Department officers were dispatched to Advanced Auto Parts at 520 S. Davis Street following reports of gunshots. While en route, officers were flagged down by individuals at the nearby O’Reilly Auto Parts at 510 S. Davis Street, who reported that a man was injured inside the store. Officers entered the O’Reilly’s location and found the victim, 44-year-old James Edward Davis II, behind the sales counter with apparent gunshot wounds. They provided immediate first aid until EMS arrived and transported Davis to a local hospital.
In a statement, Nashville Police acknowledged the diligent work of officers and detectives who quickly identified Harris as the suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest. Special thanks were extended to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, and Tift County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation.
The case remains active as investigators continue to review details surrounding the incident.
