Macon Teen Arrested for November 2023 Fatal Shooting

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has announced an arrest in connection with the death investigation on Lokchapee Landing.

On January 31, 2024, just before 4:30 p.m., a person of interest was transported from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Unit to the RYDC.

Identified as a sixteen-year-old male from Macon, the individual faces a charge of Murder linked to the death of Brian Matthew Brown. Additionally, he faces three counts of Aggravated Assault stemming from an incident on January 11, 2024, in the 3800 block of Tela Place.

On November 26, 2023, Bibb County Sheriff Deputies responded to a shooting call in the 100 block of Lokchapee Landing just before 1:30 am. Upon arrival, deputies found a 50-year-old male later identified as Brian Matthew Brown, suffering from a single gunshot wound. Brown was later pronounced deceased
