Jones County Deputies Suspend Search for Fugitive After He Evades Capture
On Tuesday, October 15th, the Jones County Sheriff’s Office announced an active search for 37-year-old David Raith, a white male wanted in connection with theft and firearms offenses. The search, focused in the area of Morris Stevens Road and Highway 49, involved deputies using a K9 unit and drone.
The Sheriff’s Office urged the public to call 478-986-3489 or dial 911 if Raith was spotted. By 3:00 PM, an update confirmed that Raith had evaded capture, and the search was suspended. Authorities are still seeking information on his whereabouts, and Raith has multiple outstanding warrants.
