Murray County Deputies Seize Over 2.5 Pounds of Meth in Two Arrests
During the week of August 26th-28th, narcotics investigators with the Murray County Sheriff’s Office conducted two significant drug operations leading to multiple arrests and substantial seizures of methamphetamine.
The first operation involved the execution of a search warrant inside Murray County, where investigators seized approximately 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine, cash, and drug-related paraphernalia. Charles Overby was arrested during this operation for his role in trafficking methamphetamine. Authorities revealed that Overby was also wanted in several other counties across North Georgia for various charges.
Later in the week, investigators made a separate arrest when Joseph Autry was taken into custody for trafficking methamphetamine. During a traffic stop, approximately 1.1 pounds of methamphetamine was seized as investigators acted on leads indicating drug activity within Murray County.
