Woodbine Man Arrested After Camden County Shooting, GBI Says

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested a 69-year-old Woodbine man after a shooting Tuesday night in Camden County. Tommy Lee Brown faces charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and misdemeanor simple battery under the Family Violence Act.
The Camden County 911 Center received a shots-fired call at about 10:55 p.m. October 27 from the first block of Ben Butler Lane in Woodbine, according to the GBI.
Camden County Sheriff’s Office deputies went to the scene and found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. He was later identified as Brown. Preliminary information indicates Brown was involved in a domestic dispute at the residence, the GBI said.
Brown went to a local hospital for treatment and was later discharged. The GBI said no one else was hurt.
The Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to investigate the shooting. Brown was booked into the Camden County Jail the same day.
