Man Shot During Attempted Carjacking at Gwinnett County Apartment Complex
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. Detectives are investigating a shooting that left a man hospitalized after an apparent attempted carjacking Wednesday night at an apartment complex in unincorporated Gwinnett County.
According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, officers responded at approximately 8:30 p.m. on July 15 to the Longwood Vista Apartment Complex in the 2300 block of Global Forum Boulevard in Atlanta after receiving reports of a person who had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
Preliminary information indicates the victim may have been targeted during an attempted carjacking involving several unidentified males dressed in dark clothing.
Detectives are actively investigating the shooting, and no arrests have been made.
Investigators believe the incident was isolated and said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
