Police Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect After Family Dollar Hold-Up in Macon

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a Family Dollar store in Macon.

Deputies said the robbery occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. at the Family Dollar.

According to investigators, a man wearing a T-shirt over his face entered the store while brandishing a firearm and demanded money from the cash register.

Authorities said a store clerk removed a cash drawer containing an undisclosed amount of money before the suspect fled the business on foot toward Anthony Road.

The suspect was described as a Black male wearing a tan shirt, black jeans, and gray-and-white sneakers.

Investigators said surveillance images of the suspect were captured by the store’s security system.
