Multi-State Pursuit Ends in Arrest of Muscogee County Fugitive Facing Expanded Charges
Chance Parker

MUSCOGEE COUNTY, Ga. — A wanted fugitive was arrested April 27 after multiple pursuits across state lines, and now faces additional felony charges following further investigation, according to the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office.

Chance Parker was initially sought on a charge of felony aggravated stalking when deputies spotted him driving a white Toyota RAV4. Authorities attempted a traffic stop, but Parker fled, leading to multiple pursuits that were eventually terminated due to public safety concerns.

Officials said Parker was later seen again and fled at a high rate of speed into Alabama. The Phenix City Police Department located the vehicle, but Parker again fled, leading officers back into Muscogee County. The pursuit was ultimately terminated after Parker drove at high speeds on the wrong side of the highway.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office Collaborative Intelligence Group later located Parker in a parking lot near Macon Road and University Avenue, where he was taken into custody without further incident.

Parker was transported to the Muscogee County Jail and initially charged with felony aggravated stalking, two counts of felony fleeing to elude, multiple traffic violations and reckless driving-related offenses. Authorities said he also has a hold from Alabama related to fleeing law enforcement.

Following additional investigation, officials said Parker will now face two additional counts of felony aggravated stalking, bringing the total to three, along with two counts of criminal trespass. Additional charges may still be pending.

Parker was scheduled to appear in municipal court on April 29. The investigation remains ongoing.
