Teen Killed After Being Ejected From Truck in Off-Road Crash in Bibb County

MACON, Ga. — A teenager was killed Saturday evening in an off-road crash in Bibb County, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Vinson Road and Liberty Church Road. Authorities said the call came into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at approximately 7:51 p.m. on April 11, 2026.

Investigators said a Dodge Ram 1500 was being driven off the roadway when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn. During the crash, a passenger riding in the truck bed was ejected.

Deputies identified the victim as 16-year-old Harrison Doyle Morris, who was found unresponsive at the scene. Coroner Leon Jones pronounced him deceased.

The 16-year-old driver, along with a front seat passenger and a 15-year-old rear passenger, sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Officials said their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and request a fatality investigator.
