Man Shot and Killed Outside Brunswick Business, Suspect in Custody
BRUNSWICK, Ga. — A man was shot and killed early Sunday morning outside a Brunswick business, and a suspect is now in custody, police said.
Officers with the Brunswick Police Department were at The Jerk Shack on Altama Avenue around 2 a.m. on April 12, 2026, clearing the parking lot after the business had closed when they heard a gunshot.
While investigating, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Police confirmed that one suspect has been taken into custody, though no additional details have been released.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation assisted in processing the scene, along with the Glynn County Police Department.
