Deputies Search for Suspect After Violent Assault, Stolen SUV in Augusta
AUGUSTA, Ga. — Richmond County deputies are searching for a man accused of a violent assault who fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle Thursday in Augusta.
Officers responded on April 9, 2026, to the 1300 block of Merry Street in the Midtown area after receiving a report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, who had been assaulted.
Investigators identified the suspect as 32-year-old Quindelle Tyquan Dozier. Authorities said Dozier fled the scene in the victim’s red 2015 Cadillac SRX, which is believed to be displaying a Georgia temporary tag P7718847.
A warrant has been issued charging Dozier with aggravated assault. He is described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds.
Authorities have issued a public alert and are asking anyone who sees Dozier or the vehicle, or who has information about his whereabouts, to contact Investigator Monga at 706-821-1034 or any on-duty Violent Crimes Investigator with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 706-821-1020 or 706-821-1080.
The investigation remains ongoing.
