DALTON, Ga. — A 21-year-old man has been arrested after investigators say he performed lewd acts in his vehicle while targeting women in multiple locations, and authorities believe additional victims may not have come forward.

Dalton Police identified the suspect as Nathaniel Willingham of Summerville. The arrest follows an incident reported April 8, 2026, involving behavior that occurred the previous day near Walnut Avenue and Tibbs Road.

According to investigators, a woman reported that while jogging on Walnut Avenue on April 7, she observed a man watching her from a parked vehicle and possibly recording her with a phone. She later encountered the same individual along Tibbs Road engaging in similar behavior. When she confronted him, she reported he was performing a lewd act inside the vehicle. The victim was able to photograph the suspect and his license plate and later reported the incident to police.

On April 9, investigators used license plate information and a Flock camera alert to locate the suspect vehicle in Dalton. Officers made contact with Willingham, who admitted to performing lewd acts involving multiple victims in the area, according to police.

Willingham was arrested and charged with four counts of lewd acts and one count of stalking.

Police said the case is similar to other recent complaints reported in the Walnut Avenue, Tibbs Road, and College Drive areas. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to contact Sergeant Matias Castillo at 706-278-9085 ext. 9-352.

The investigation remains ongoing.
