Multi-Agency Operation Leads to Arrest of Reynolds Man on 21 Felony Child Abuse Counts

PERRY, GA — A 46-year-old Taylor County man is in custody following a major joint operation by state and local law enforcement. Jeremy Britton Evans, of Reynolds, Georgia, was arrested on April 1, 2026, facing a total of 21 felony counts involving the sexual abuse of minors.

The arrest was the culmination of a collaborative effort between the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Region 3 Office, with additional support provided by the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.

Serious Felony Charges

Evans was apprehended in Perry and has been formally charged with an extensive list of violent sexual offenses:

  • 9 Counts of Aggravated Child Molestation
  • 6 Counts of Sodomy
  • 3 Counts of Aggravated Sodomy
  • 3 Counts of Child Molestation

The sheer volume of the charges suggests a deep and complex investigation involving multiple incidents or victims. Under Georgia law, “Aggravated” counts of these offenses carry significantly higher mandatory minimum sentences.
