ATLANTA, Ga. — Police have made a second arrest in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred in northwest Atlanta in late March.

Officers with Atlanta Police Zone 1 responded around 8:57 p.m. on March 24, 2026, to a report of a person shot at a Vine City food mart located at 901 Joseph E. Boone Blvd. NW. When officers arrived, they found a 35-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

Homicide investigators identified 36-year-old Nicholas Lee Meadows and 35-year-old Ezzard Charles Glenn as suspects in the case and obtained warrants for their arrests.

Meadows was taken into custody on March 27 by the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He faces charges including murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Authorities said he is awaiting extradition to Atlanta.

Glenn was located and arrested without incident on April 1 by the Atlanta Police Department’s Fugitive Unit. He faces the same charges.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Authorities noted that all arrests are public information, and the accused are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
