Former Maysville Court Clerk Arrested in Missing Funds Investigation

MAYSVILLE, Ga. — A former municipal court clerk has been arrested following an investigation into missing funds from the Maysville Municipal Court, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Jessica Daniels, 48, has been charged with Computer Trespass, Two counts of Computer Forgery, and Theft by Taking.

The investigation began in February 2026 when the Maysville Police Department requested assistance from the GBI Office of Special Investigations regarding missing money from the municipal court. Authorities said the investigation ultimately led to Daniels’ arrest on April 2nd.

Daniels was booked into the Jackson County Jail.

The case remains active and ongoing.
