Armed Suspect with Violent Warrants Arrested at Macon Hotel, Faces Multiple Charges

BIBB COUNTY, Ga. — A man with multiple violent warrants was taken into custody after a brief pursuit and struggle at a Macon hotel, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies with the Patrol Division located the suspect at the OYO Hotel on Jeffersonville Road. Authorities said the man attempted to flee upon their arrival but was quickly pursued into a nearby wooded area, where he was apprehended after a brief struggle.

The suspect is now facing more than a dozen charges, including felony obstruction, battery–family violence, assault on an unborn child, cruelty to children in the third degree, trafficking, and possession with intent to distribute.

A second individual at the scene was also arrested and charged with hindering and harboring a wanted person, as well as obstruction.

During the arrest and investigation, deputies recovered marijuana, methamphetamine, an AR-15 rifle loaded with 30 rounds, a drum magazine containing approximately 50 rounds, additional magazines, scales, needles, and packaging materials consistent with drug distribution.

The investigation remains ongoing.
