Four Arrested After Armed Robbery in Athens
ATHENS, Ga. — Four men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery Thursday afternoon, according to Athens-Clarke County Police.
Officers responded around 2:21 p.m. on March 26, 2026, to the 400 block of Minor Street following a report of an armed robbery.
During the investigation, officers located the suspects at 700 U.S. Highway 29, where stolen property was recovered.
Police identified the suspects as Emory Simmons, 22, of Athens; Zachariah Roberts, 18, of Colbert; Sherod Porter, 22, of Hull; and Raequan Thomas, 22, of Athens.
All four were arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.
The investigation remains ongoing.
