GBI Investigating Fatal Shooting of 47-Year-Old Man in Berrien County

BERRIEN COUNTY, Ga. — State investigators are examining the fatal shooting of a 47-year-old man earlier this month in Berrien County, authorities said.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office in the case involving Mickey Dewayne Tuggle of Nashville, Georgia.

Officials said Tuggle was shot and killed on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, along Highway 76.

The GBI Medical Examiner’s Office in Macon will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

Authorities said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
