Oklahoma Double Homicide Suspect Arrested in Central Georgia After Pursuit on I-475

MONROE COUNTY, Georgia – A man wanted in connection with a double homicide in Oklahoma was arrested early Sunday following a brief pursuit in Monroe County.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were alerted around 12:27 a.m. on March 22, 2026, to a BOLO for a suspect out of Leflore County, Oklahoma. The suspect was wanted in the killings of his twin sister and her 17-month-old child.

Authorities tracked the suspect’s vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 475. Deputies attempted a traffic stop, which led to a brief pursuit before the vehicle came to a stop.

The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Grant Hoffman Wilson of Poteau, Oklahoma, was taken into custody without further incident.

Deputies reported Wilson was armed with a pistol at the time of his arrest. A search of the vehicle uncovered additional weapons, including a Browning lever-action rifle, a shotgun, multiple loaded magazines, and various types of ammunition. Investigators also found several packed bags containing clothing, long-term food supplies, and additional ammunition.

Wilson is accused of killing his twin sister and her young child in Oklahoma. He is currently being held in Monroe County on charges of felony fleeing and obstruction while awaiting extradition to Oklahoma, where he is expected to face double homicide charges.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office noted this is the fourth murder suspect deputies have apprehended in recent years.
