Arrest Made Days After Parking Lot Shooting in Thomasville

THOMASVILLE, Georgia – A suspect has been arrested in connection with a late-night shooting at a Thomasville apartment complex earlier this month.

On March 14, 2026, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Thomasville Police officers responded to the Villa North Apartments in the 500 block of Old Albany Road after receiving reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Due to the nature of the incident, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested to assist, with Assistant Special Agent in Charge Zach Johnson leading the case.

During the investigation, authorities identified 29-year-old Jakarvius Tyran Davis as the suspect.

On March 18, 2026, Davis was located and taken into custody by GBI agents and Thomasville Police officers.

He has been charged with aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Davis was booked into the Thomas County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.

The investigation remains ongoing.
