Two Brothers Arrested After Armed Robbery at Albany Convenience Store

ALBANY, Georgia – Two brothers have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at an Albany convenience store.

On March 18, 2026, officers responded to the Dixie Convenience Store located at 1400 E. Broad Avenue after reports of a robbery.

According to investigators, two males entered the store armed with firearms and forced the clerk behind the counter. During the incident, the suspects struck the clerk while demanding money and emptied the cash drawer.

Police said the suspects also took the clerk’s wallet before fleeing the scene.

The robbery was captured on surveillance cameras inside the store.

During the investigation, the clerk told officers the suspects had previously been inside the store. While still on scene, officers received information that helped identify the suspects as 17-year-old Randrick Taylor and 20-year-old Randy Taylor.

Investigators later conducted interviews and obtained a search warrant for the suspects’ last known address. During the search, officers recovered evidence linking the brothers to the robbery.

Both suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Dougherty County Jail.

They are charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.

The investigation remains ongoing.
