Camden County, GA — Three Camden County residents have been arrested following a lengthy investigation into the manufacturing and distribution of cocaine and crack cocaine across Southeast Georgia.

According to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, the arrests were made after an investigation conducted by the Camden County Joint Camden Action Team (JCAT), a multi-agency narcotics unit.

On March 3, 2026, investigators with JCAT, working alongside the St. Marys Police Department, Kingsland Police Department and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), carried out an operation targeting a narcotics distribution network operating in the region.

Authorities identified Linward James Jr. as the primary target of the investigation. He was arrested along with two alleged co-conspirators, Curtis Waye and Marcus Johnson.

Investigators determined the group was involved in a conspiracy to manufacture and distribute cocaine and crack cocaine throughout Southeast Georgia.

During the investigation and subsequent operation, law enforcement recovered two stolen firearms. One of the guns had been reported stolen in St. Marys, Georgia, while the other was reported stolen in Jacksonville, Florida.

Investigators also discovered two kilogram cocaine presses, devices commonly used to manufacture and repackage cocaine for distribution.

Sheriff Kevin Chaney said the case highlights the impact of cooperation between multiple law enforcement agencies.

“This investigation is a great example of what can be accomplished when local and federal law enforcement agencies work together toward a common goal,” Chaney said. “Narcotics trafficking continues to fuel violence and crime in our communities, and we remain committed to identifying those responsible and holding them accountable.”

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges could be filed as the case develops.
