Additional Arrests Made in Connection With January Homicide on Macon’s Hardwick Drive
Macon, GA — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has announced additional arrests in connection with a homicide investigation stemming from an incident on Hardwick Drive earlier this year.
The case is related to the death of 19-year-old Dantwan Wynes, which occurred on January 16, 2026.
According to investigators, detectives with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division identified two suspects during the course of the investigation: a 15-year-old juvenile and 26-year-old Ja’nike Jacques Adams.
Authorities said both suspects were apprehended just before 7 a.m. Thursday morning and transported to the Criminal Investigation Division for further questioning.
The juvenile suspect was later taken to the Macon Regional Youth Development Center. He faces charges of murder, criminal attempt to commit robbery, and three counts of aggravated assault.
Adams was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
He has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and criminal use of an article with an altered identification mark.
Investigators also noted that Adams was wanted in Baldwin County at the time of his arrest.
Authorities said Adams is currently being held without bond.
The investigation into Wynes’ death remains active, and officials say additional updates will be released as more information becomes available.
