Monroe Police Arrest Man After ICAC Tip Leads to Child Exploitation Investigation
MONROE, Ga. — A Monroe man was arrested Thursday following an investigation launched after an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) tip alerted authorities to possible child exploitation activity.
According to the Monroe Police Department, officers executed two search warrants at approximately 5 p.m. on February 26, 2026, at residences located on Towler Street and Heritage Ridge Drive.
The investigation began after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) forwarded an ICAC tip indicating the possible possession of sexually explicit material involving juveniles. Monroe Police detectives immediately began a follow-up investigation, which led to the identification of a suspect.
As a result of the operation, 30-year-old Brandon Xavier Towler was taken into custody without incident. He has been charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor for allegedly possessing sexually explicit material involving children.
Police said the Monroe Police Department works closely with the GBI and other state and federal partners to aggressively investigate crimes involving the exploitation of children, emphasizing that protecting young victims remains a top priority.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials say additional charges may be filed as digital evidence continues to be analyzed.
Anyone with information related to the case is encouraged to contact Detective Jeremy Caldwell with the Monroe Police Department at 678-522-1236 or JCaldwell@MonroeGA.gov.
