Gwinnett County Police Make Human Trafficking Arrest Following Robbery Investigation

DULUTH, Ga. — Gwinnett County Police investigators arrested a suspect on human trafficking charges after a robbery investigation led detectives to an alleged prostitution operation.

The case began on January 20, 2026, when officers responded to a reported robbery at an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Satellite Pointe in Duluth.

When officers arrived, they were met by Changze Li, 28, of Buford, who allowed them inside the apartment, stating a burglary or robbery was in progress. Once inside, officers heard glass breaking before a man emerged from a room bleeding from his hand.

Police issued commands to the man, later identified as Dominique Gray, 40, of Winder, but deployed a Taser after he allegedly failed to comply and threw a phone toward officers.

Gray was arrested and charged with:

  • Reckless Conduct
  • Pandering
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Armed Robbery
  • Aggravated Assault
  • False Imprisonment
  • Kidnapping

Li was initially charged with Pimping and Keeping a Place of Prostitution.

Vice Investigation Leads to Human Trafficking Charges

Following the arrest, Gwinnett County Police VICE investigators continued reviewing evidence connected to the case.

On February 9, detectives located an online advertisement they believed was promoting prostitution. Investigators determined the phone number listed in the ad matched a number previously associated with Li.

Undercover officers contacted the number and arranged a meeting for commercial sex services at an apartment in unincorporated Duluth.

During the undercover operation, officers discovered Li hiding inside a room at the apartment and took him into custody.

Li now faces additional charges including:

  • Keeping a Place of Prostitution
  • Pimping
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Human Trafficking

Li remains held in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
